rofl I sleep through these petty quakes. 4.0 is nothing. Try sleeping through a tornado/ tornado warning.

From what I've heard about tornado states, when the warning sirens come on, there is no sleeping through it.

lol, I've slept through the sirens and the tornado destroying houses on my street twice now.
I drove within ~50 yards of a tornado before as well. It was kind of freaky when I came home, saw the news where a warehouse was destroyed within ~60 seconds of me being there. It explained the five blocks I drove through where it was near completely black at 5pm and the continuous 'sheet' of rain that persisted for that time.

Yeah, supposedly rain-cloaked tornados are almost impossible to see. But how can you not HEAR them? They sound like a freight train or waterfall.

Tornado states (At least where I lived in Missouri) required you to have a special radio that only came on when there was a warning. It was quite annoying and very loud, think of a high pitched air raid siren in your kitchen. So yes, there was no sleeping through that.

lol, I don't have some special radio, I have some shitty ass 40$ hand-me-down stereo with no flash memory or ESP. I have a couple of aftermarket 6x9's through.
At the time I'm 90% certain I had this blasting:

I had a storm radio since I lived in tornado alley and the stupid thing would beep like a smoke alarm on low battery all the time, then some random guy would come on and broadcast and announcement about a tornado 3 states away.

What's not to like? 7.2 Earthquake this afternoon. I will admit I felt this one. Funny part was instead of trying to save my own life I put forth all my effort to save my big screen tv instead. Priorities.

I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't pass. While it is a gateway drug, it's something that's pretty much already being sold "legally" anyways with all these bogus prescriptions going around you can basically get a license to grow and smoke if you stub your toe already so why not make it legal. Plus I could do it in my backyard openly and nobody would give me shit for it.

Quote :
"With the state in the midst of an historic economic crisis, the move towards regulating and taxing marijuana is simply common sense," Ammiano said in a press release when he first proposed the bill last year.
Also, Mecke said that legalization could prompt the state to "reallocate" more than $300 million in law enforcement spending away from non-violent drug activity to address violent crimes.
These two sentences need to be repeated over and over, like that prop. 8 fiasco. By now I should be bombarded with "spun" commercials claiming how secondhand smoke from marijuana, depending on weather patterns (lol), will blow across school playgrounds across the state, but sadly I'm not.
