Personally I would take the boomkin/meta lok over an ele shammey in a perfect raid, if you look at CUTIES ONLY thats more or less their set up

more or less something like this

Feral would be swing Tank / DPS, group 4 would be a swing Ranged DPS / Healer (Boom/Resto or Shadow/Disc optimally). They would change depending on the need for Tanks and Healers.

An ele shaman and boomkin are not perfectly interchangeable. Totem of Wrath and WF totem are required at all times.

Assuming we have a Ret paladin, Boomkin/ele are interchangable.

Don't forget WoA totem. Can't assume a resto shaman.

3 shamies, resto, enhancement, and elemental.

3 priests, 2 shadow, 1 disc

3 druids, resto, boomkin, and feral (dps/tank)

3 paladins, 1-2 holy and 1-2 ret, with interchangeable specs, tank included for one.

2 mages, fire, both with an interchangeable spec of fire and arcane.

2 locks, 1 meta, 1 afflic.

2 warriors, 1 fury, 1 prot.

2 rogues, 1 mut 1 combat.

2 dks unholy/blood.

2 hunters.

1 additional assorted dps such as a priest in certain situations that can switch between disc and shadow as needed. Other hybrids can be put in this place as well, pallies, shammies, druids, etc.
